Abstract:
Provided is a fuel cell gas feed diffusion layer 42 that includes a conductive, sheet-like porous material layer 40 which is capable of transmitting and diffusing gas, and multiple gas passage grooves 55 which are formed parallel with each other on one surface of the porous material layer 40 and each formed in a zigzag shape or a wave shape from the gas inflow side toward the gas outflow side. In plan view, a first rectangular region R1 which circumscribes one gas passage groove 55 overlaps a second rectangular region R2 which circumscribes a gas passage groove 55 adjacent the one gas passage groove 55 along the region of contact, and an overlapping region R3 in which the first rectangular region R1 overlaps the second rectangular region R2 exists in any depth position of the multiple gas passage grooves 55 regardless of the cross sectional structure of the multiple gas passage grooves 55. This fuel cell gas feed diffusion layer 42 is capable of increasing power generation efficiency of a fuel cell compared to prior art.
