Abstract:
A fuel pump (36) has a pump function of suctioning and discharging fuel in a fuel tank (2), and a detection function of detecting a capacitance having a correlation with an alcohol concentration in the fuel in the fuel tank. The fuel pump is provided with: a pump body (363) which is housed in the fuel tank and provides the pump function; a housing electrode (364) covering the pump body in the fuel tank; and an outer electrode (365) which is positioned outside the housing electrode in the fuel tank, and which forms a gap (366) between the outer electrode and the housing electrode providing the capacitance.
