Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle door lock control device with which it is possible to prevent entry of a suspicious person, etc., into a vehicle. A body ECU controls the locking/unlocking of doors of the vehicle in accordance with the presence/absence of communication between a wireless communication device and a key held by a user. The body ECU locks the doors of the vehicle if communication with the key is not possible. The body ECU acquires vehicle surroundings information from an exterior camera and a radar, determines on the basis of acquired information the presence/absence of a person or an object approaching the vehicle, and thereby determines the presence/absence of an abnormality in the surroundings of the vehicle. Upon determining that an abnormality is present, the body ECU locks the doors of the vehicle. The body ECU senses the opening/closing of the doors of the vehicle on the basis of an input signal from a courtesy switch, and starts the process of monitoring the surroundings of the vehicle after all of the doors of the vehicle are closed.
