Abstract:
The present invention relates to a functional hinge used for an entrance/exit door, a ship door, or a shelf that can be folded or unfolded, the hinge comprising: a first bracket having a first cylinder formed thereon; a second bracket having a second cylinder formed on the upper or lower portion of one side thereof so as to communicate with the first cylinder; a shaft installed to penetrate upper and lower portions of one side of the first and second brackets while being coupled to the second bracket, a guide groove being formed on the outer surface of the shaft so as to correspond to the first cylinder; a first mold installed so as to move upwards/downwards by a predetermined height inside the first cylinder, a first shaft hole being formed at the center of the first mold such that the shaft is fitted thereto, a hole being formed through a side surface of the first mold toward the first shaft hole, and an operating protrusion being formed on one of upper and lower ends of the first mold; a guide ball fitted into the hole of the first mold and configured to be forced against the shaft and to move while being elastically supported by a spring; an elastic spring installed on the first cylinder so as to elastically support the first mold so as to move upwards/downwards by a predetermined height; and a second mold coupled to the second cylinder, first and second ratchets being formed on one of upper and lower end surfaces of the second mold such that the operating protrusion of the first mold moves along same so as to move the first mold upwards/downwards, and such that opening/closing of the entrance/exit door is controlled.
