Title:
FUNCTIONAL NEAR-INFRARED SPECTROSCOPE AND SPECTROSCOPY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/132989
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a multi-channel functional near-infrared spectroscope such that detector noise is easily equalized. The functional near-infrared spectroscope equalizes detector noise between all channels k by performing control in advance, wherein: the transmittances of all optical attenuators are set to 1, the intensities of all the light sources are set to the maximum light amount which the light sources can safely emit, the effective incident light amounts of light source probes i and the minimum and maximum effective incident light amounts thereamong are determined, and the transmittance ai of each light source probe-side optical attenuator i is changed to [minimum effective incident light amount/ effective incident light amount of light source probe i] in order to equalize the effective amounts of incident light; and the intensities of all the light sources are then multiplied by a factor of W (W = [maximum effective incident light amount/minimum effective incident light efficiency]), the effective detection efficiencies of detector probes j and the minimum detection efficiency thereamong are determined, and the transmittance aj of each detector probe-side optical attenuator j is changed to [minimum effective detection efficiency/effective detection efficiency of detector probe j] in order to equalize the effective detection efficiencies.
