Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application is a gain control method, used for increasing the gain control accuracy of a Raman optical fibre amplifier, the method comprising: acquiring the distance between each insertion loss point amongst at least one insertion loss points and a Raman optical fibre amplifier and an insertion loss value corresponding to the insertion loss point, the insertion loss points being located on an optical fibre connected to an input end of the Raman optical fibre amplifier; on the basis of the distance between each insertion loss point and the Raman optical fibre amplifier and the insertion loss value corresponding to the insertion loss point, determining a compensation value of a parameter affecting the gain; adding the base value of the parameter affecting the gain corresponding to a target gain to the compensation value of the parameter affecting the gain, in order to acquire a target value of the parameter affecting the gain; and controlling the parameter affecting the gain of the Raman optical fibre amplifier to reach the target value, such that the Raman optical fibre amplifier reaches the target gain. Also disclosed in the present application is a Raman optical fibre amplifier.
