A game machine capable of preferably rendering the scene in which when a second game character moves to disappear from the field of vision of the first game character, the first game character loses sight of the second game character and cannot properly respond to the second game character. An operation object control unit (76) commands a first game character to move in response to an operation signal inputted through operating means according to motion control information including operation signal conditions associated with motions. A judging unit (72) judges whether or not the position of the second game character is present in a judgment object region in a game space determined according to the position and orientation of the first game character. A motion control information altering unit (74) alters motion control information according to the results of the judgment by the judging unit (72). Particularly, the motion control information altering unit (74) alters the operation signal condition of one of the motions associated with the motion.
