Abstract:
The present application provides a game task assigning method and apparatus. The method comprises: for a first virtual character controlled by a player in a game scene, determining whether information of the first virtual character meets a condition of participating in a game task; if the information of the first virtual character meets the condition of participating in the game task, generating a game task resource on the basis of the information of the first virtual character; and assigning the game task resource to the first virtual character, so that the first virtual character executes the game task in a target plot. According to the method, the game tasks and the corresponding game task resources are allocated to the first virtual characters in different states by determining whether the information of the first virtual characters meets the condition of participating in the game tasks, so that the possibility that the multiple first virtual characters are gathered in some plots after receiving a same task is greatly reduced, the processing stress of a server is relieved, the rendering stress caused by too many same-screen interaction units is avoided, the game rendering model precision and the special effect expression magnitude are improved, and the game smoothness is improved.
