Abstract:
This gas generator in which an igniter is disposed in a position offset from the center of a cluster of a gas-generating agent filling a combustion chamber, is provided with: a partition part forming a gas circulation space which is not filled with the gas-generating agent; and a plurality of connecting parts which connect the combustion chamber and the gas circulation space. The gas generator is configured so that some of the plurality of connecting parts allow a combustion product resulting from combustion of the gas-generating agent located proximal to the igniter to flow into the gas circulation space and some of the other connecting parts allow a combustion product having circulated through the gas circulation space to flow out toward the gas-generating agent located distal to the igniter. Thus, uniform burning of the gas-generating agent is realized regardless of the position of the igniter in the gas generator.
