Title:
GAS SENSOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/182011
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gas sensor capable of immobilizing the location of hot spot occurrences in a sensor element. To this end, a sensor element 12 is shaped such that the cross-sectional area thereof increases uniformly or stepwise from the positive (+) electrode side to the negative (-) electrode side so as to induce the hot spots, which would otherwise move to the negative electrode side, to a low-resistance side. As a result, positions substantially equal from a pair of electrodes 13, 15 formed at both end sections of the sensor element 12 are set to be hot spot occurrence positions, thereby avoiding damage to electrode sections due to hot spot heat.
