Title:
GAS SEPARATION AND RECOVERY METHOD AND EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/135164
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a gas separation and recovery method with which it is possible to increase the concentration of recovered gas without performing a cleaning step, thereby making it possible to separate and recover highly concentrated target gas components with a reduced amount of electric power consumption. When separating and recovering specific gas components from a feedstock gas by pressure swing adsorption, the present invention utilizes the fact that a gas adsorbent has different adsorption/desorption characteristics corresponding to adsorption strength and pressure depending on the gas species and there are differences in desorption timing in the desorption step depending on the gas species, and divides a desorption step into, for example, two time zones to recover desorbing gases separately in the respective time zones. As a result, when, for example, gas 1 and gas 2 with a difference in desorption times are adsorbed to an adsorbent, it is possible to separately recover a recovered gas with a high concentration of gas 1 and a recovered gas with a high concentration of gas 2, and to selectively separate and recover a highly concentrated target gas component.
