Abstract:
A gas supply system employing two fuels for use in an ultra-large container ship. The system comprises: an LNG fuel tank disposed below deck; an engine room disposed below deck and located at the stern of the ship; and a fuel gas processing room disposed above deck. Fuels in the LNG fuel tank are transported to the fuel gas processing room for processing, and are transported to apparatuses that use gas in the engine room. The LNG fuel tank is disposed below deck, a design that comprehensively takes into account the influence of the LNG fuel tank on the stability of the ship, fire compartmentation and separation of hazardous areas, as well as convenience when laying out natural gas pipelines. Moreover, the internal space of the ultra-large container ship is fully utilized, and the maximum effective capacity thereof enables the ultra-large container ship to use LNG fuels for the entire route, or at least for one round trip on an established route.
