Abstract:
Provided are a gas treatment device, and a fuel cell system that are capable of effectively utilising generated heat. The gas treatment device (10) comprises: a combustion catalyst (11) which causes a combustible gas (Gc) that has been discharged from a power-generating fuel cell device (1) to combust; an inner cylinder (12), the interior of which is filled by the combustion catalyst (11), and which has a heat radiating section (12r) that radiates heat to the outside; an outer wall (13) which is provided further towards the outside than the heat radiating section (12r); and a cover plate (14). The outer wall (13) forms a heat receiving channel (18) between the outer surface of the heat radiating section (12r), and the inner surface of the outer wall (13), said channel being positioned upstream from the combustion catalyst (11) in the flow direction of the combustible gas (Gc). The cover plate (14) guides the combustible gas (Gc) into the inner cylinder (12), said gas having flowed through the heat receiving channel (18). The combustible gas (Gc) which has received the heat that has been emitted from the heat radiating section (12r) of the inner cylinder (12) is caused to flow into the inner cylinder (12), and thereby the present invention can recover the radiated heat, and contributes to energy conservation. The fuel cell system (100) comprises the gas treatment device (10), and the fuel cell device (1).
