Abstract:
The present invention provides a gasket which is not susceptible to the occurrence of undesired leakage of a liquid chemical even if the gasket is in contact with the liquid chemical for a long period of time by being set in a prefilled syringe or the like. A gasket 10 according to the present invention is configured of: a gasket main body 12 that has a liquid-contact part 16 and a sliding contact part 18; and a PTFE film 40 that is fitted to a liquid-contact surface 14 of the liquid-contact part 16 of the gasket main body 12. By curving a peripheral edge 42 of the PTFE film 40 toward the sliding contact part 18 of the gasket main body 12, a peripheral edge 44 of the PTFE film 40 is buried in the sliding contact part 18-side part of the gasket main body 12 so that the peripheral edge 44 of the PTFE film 40 is not exposed to the outside.
