Abstract:
In order to provide a gastrointestinal stent with which ingrowth caused by cell proliferation and invasion into the lumen of the stent is prevented and an excellent migration prevention function is obtained, this gastrointestinal stent 1 has a frame 10 and an outer circumferential cover film 30. The frame 10 has a plurality of ring parts 11 constituted so that a plurality of struts 15 are linked in a zig-zag shape in the circumferential direction to form, in an alternating manner, bent mountain parts 12 and bent valley parts 13. Mutually adjacent ring parts 11 are connected by a plurality of bridge parts 14, forming the frame 10 into a cylindrical shape. The outer circumferential cover film 30 covers the outer circumferential side of the frame 10. The outer circumferential cover film 30 is provided with openings 31a-31f exposing at least one set of bent mountain parts 12 and bent valley parts 13 linked in the circumferential direction of the ring parts 11.
