Abstract:
A gate driving method and a gate driving apparatus for a liquid crystal display panel. The driving method comprises: dividing, according to positions of a plurality of output channels of a gate driving apparatus relative to a central output channel, the gate driving apparatus into a plurality of gate driving units; separately setting bias currents output by the plurality of gate driving units, such that a bias current output by a gate driving unit is set to be small if an average distance of distances between an output channel driven by the gate driving unit and the central output channel is small. The power consumption of the gate driving apparatus (700) can be reduced, and further, the power consumption of the liquid crystal panel can be reduced.
