Abstract:
This gate valve has: a valve casing with a hollow section, and a first opening and a second opening that are provided so as to face each other with the hollow section therebetween to form a continuous flow channel; a neutral valve element disposed inside the hollow section of the valve casing and capable of closing the first opening; and a rotating shaft that functions as a position-switching part for operating the neutral valve element between a valve-closing position in which the neutral valve element is in a closing state with respect to the first opening and a valve-opening position in which the neutral valve element is in an open state that is clear of the first opening, and that has an axis extending in the flow channel direction. The neutral valve element has a neutral valve part that is connected to the position-switching part and a movable valve part that is connected so that the position with respect to the neutral valve part in the flow channel direction can be changed. The movable valve part has: a first movable valve piece, which is provided with a seal that is installed around the movable valve part and adheres closely to the inner surface of the valve casing around the first opening and which is connected so that the position with respect to the neutral valve part in the flow channel direction can be changed; and a second movable valve piece that is configured to be slidable with respect to the first movable valve piece in the flow channel direction. This gate valve is provided with multiple first biasing parts that are built into the valve casing, a second biasing part that is disposed between the first movable valve piece and the second movable valve piece, and a third biasing part. The third biasing part connects the first movable valve piece so that the position with respect to the neutral valve part in the flow channel direction can be changed and biases the first movable valve piece toward the center position in the flow channel direction. The multiple first biasing parts have the function of biasing the first movable valve piece toward the first opening in the flow channel direction and making it possible for the seal to adhere closely to the inner surface of the valve casing around the first opening. The second biasing part is driven so that adjustment of the thickness dimension of the first movable valve piece and the second movable valve piece in the flow channel direction is possible.
