Abstract:
A gear pump, wherein a wall surface section of a casing (2) is provided with a drive-side partition surface (41) on which tooth crests (11) of a drive gear (10) slide, a driven-side partition surface (42) on which tooth crests (21) of a driven gear (20) slide, a suction-side inner peripheral surface (43) for interconnecting on the suction chamber (3) side the drive-side partition surface (41) and the driven-side partition surface (42), and a discharge-side inner peripheral surface (44) for interconnecting on the discharge chamber (4) side the drive-side partition surface (41) and the driven-side partition surface (42). Tapered sections (60) are formed at connecting sections at which the discharge-side inner peripheral surface (44) and the partition surfaces (41, 42) are connected to each other, and the tapered sections (60) gradually connect tooth spaces (12, 22) to the discharge chamber (4) as the gears (10, 20) are rotated. The tooth spaces (12, 22) are spaces surrounded by the wall surface section of the casing (2) and by teeth of the gears (10, 20) which teeth are located near those portions of the connecting sections which are on the partition surface (41, 42) side.
