Abstract:
A gear transmission device wherein a carrier is supported in a case, with a bearing therebetween. The bearing is equipped with an inner race, an outer race, multiple rollers, and a retainer. The axis of rotation of the rollers is inclined with respect to the central axis of the bearing. The retainer maintains the interval between adjacent rollers. With this gear transmission device, ribs for restricting the movement of the rollers in the rotational axis direction are not provided on the outer circumferential surface of the inner race and the inner circumferential surface of the outer race. A protruding part which protrudes toward the central axis of the bearing is provided on a small-diameter section of the retainer, and a contact surface with which the protruding part makes contact is provided on the carrier and/or the inner race. With this gear transmission device the movement of the rollers in the rotational axis direction is restricted by contact between the protruding part and the contact surface.
