Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a gesture recognition method and system for a robot, and the robot, the method comprising: pre-acquiring pictures comprising different gestures and pictures comprising no gestures so as to obtain a sample picture set; making a detection sample set and a filtering sample set according to the sample picture set; training according to the detection sample set so as to obtain an Adaboost cascading gesture detector; training according to the filtering sample set so as to obtain a gesture recognition convolutional neural network; and recognizing the acquired gesture pictures by means of the Adaboost cascading gesture detector so as to obtain gesture recognition results, and filtering the gesture recognition results by means of the gesture recognition convolutional neural network so as to obtain a correct gesture recognition result. According to the present invention, a gesture may be precisely recognized under a complex background by filtering recognition results of an Adaboost cascading gesture detector by means of the gesture recognition convolutional neural network.
