Abstract:
Provided is a transparent glass ceramic that has a sufficiently low viscosity in a molten liquid state, can be effectively chemically strengthened by ion exchange and has a high internal strength. This glass ceramic is characterized by having a composition, by mol% expressed in terms of the following oxides, of SiO2: 55 to 70% inclusive, B2O3: exceeding 0% and not more than 10%, P2O5: exceeding 0% and not more than 5%, Li2O: 18 to 30% inclusive, Na2O: exceeding 3% and not more than 10%, K2O: 0 to 5% inclusive, and ZrO2: exceeding 0% and not more than 5%, and substantially containing no Al2O3.
