Abstract:
Provided is a glass composition for a glass fiber, which has biosolubility and can be made into a long fiber. The glass composition for a glass fiber according to the present invention includes, with respect to the total amount, SiO2 in the range of 35.0-55.0% by mass, B2O3 in the range of 10.0-30.0% by mass, Al2O3 in the range of 14.5-30.0% by mass, and CaO and MgO in the range of 8.7-25.0% by mass, and the content ratio S of the SiO2, the content ratio B of the B2O3, the content ratio A of the Al2O3, the content ratio C of the CaO, and the content ratio M of the MgO satisfy the following formula (1). (1): 11.3 ≤ S × (C + M)/(A + B) ≤ 20.7
