Abstract:
This glass plate (1) comprises a first surface (10) and a second surface (20) opposite of the first surface (10), and curves about a first axis (T) with the first surface (10) a concave surface and the second surface (20) a convex surface. In cross-sectional view in a plane perpendicular to the first axis (T), at least both ends of the second surface (20) are chemically strengthened. The compressive stress generated by ion exchange in the second surface (20) in both ends is greater than the compressive stress generated by ion exchange in the first surface (10) in both ends. Defining the X axis as the line that includes the line segment connecting either endpoint of the second surface (20) in the cross-section and the point of the second surface (20) in the cross-section furthest removed from said endpoint, the Y axis as the line passing through the center point of the line segment and perpendicular to the X axis, and the origin as the intersection of the X axis and the Y axis, if the positive direction of the Y axis is defined as the direction on the Y axis from the first surface (10) towards the second surface (20), then when using a quadratic curve to approximate the second derivative with respect to the partial shape trajectory made up by the part of the cross-section of the second surface (20) in the region in which the Y axis value is positive, the quadratic coefficient of the quadratic curve is negative.
