Abstract:
This glass unit is provided with: a first glass plate which is provided with a through hole; a second glass plate which is arranged so as to face the first glass plate at a predetermined distance, thereby forming an internal space between itself and the first glass plate; a sealing material which seals the peripheral gap between the first glass plate and the second glass plate; a cover which closes the through hole; and an adhesive which affixes the cover to the first glass plate. This glass unit is configured such that: the internal space is depressurized so as to be held in a vacuum state, or alternatively, a predetermined gas is injected into the internal space; and the first glass plate and the cover are affixed to each other by means of the adhesive.
