Abstract:
A method and system according to an embodiment may predict a power distribution in an axial direction of a core by using a plurality of in-core instruments in the vicinity of a target nuclear fuel assembly regardless of whether the in-core instruments are arranged. In addition, when a control rod is not arranged, a processor selects in-core measurement signals collected by one or more nuclear fuel assemblies and applies the same to a pre-trained GMDH-based core power prediction model, and thus may predict the power distribution in the axial direction of the core, and even when the control rod is arranged, the processor may predict the power distribution in the axial direction of the core through replacement with another GMDH-based core power prediction model.
