Abstract:
A golf club head (20), comprising a face part (22) having a face surface (23) for hitting a golf ball. In the golf club head (20), at least the hitting part of the face surface (23) of the face part (22) for hitting the golf ball comprises a laminated structural body formed in a laminated structure in which metal layers (50) and (62) and fiber-reinforced plastic layers (60) are laminated on each other. The surface part of the hitting part of the face surface (23) in direct contact with the golf ball is formed of the metal layer (50). At least either of the fiber-reinforced plastic layers (60) and metal layers (62) is formed by multiple layers, and the metal layers (50) and (62) or the fiber-reinforced plastic layers (60) are different in tensile strength from each other. When the metal layers (50) and (62) are formed by multiple layers, the metal layer with the highest tensile strength is disposed on the surface part.
