Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a granulated adsorbent that can be produced predictably at a fixed volume at low cost, that has high strength, and that is particularly stable in water. This granulated adsorbent includes a metal-cyano complex as an active component and contains: a flocculation precipitator for flocculating and precipitating the metal-cyano complex from a slurry containing the metal-cyano complex; a binder; and a crosslinking agent. In addition, the granulated adsorbent is produced in the present invention by the following steps: a step in which after adding the flocculation precipitator to the metal-cyano complex slurry, the metal-cyano complex slurry is dehydrated and a metal-cyano complex dehydrated cake is prepared; a step in which the metal-cyano complex dehydrated cake is heated and dried and a metal-cyano complex dried block is prepared; a step in which the metal-cyano complex dried block is pulverized and a metal-cyano complex powder is obtained; and a step in which a mixture including the metal-cyano complex powder, the binder, and the crosslinking agent is prepared and granulation is performed using the mixture.
