Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for processing graph data. The method comprises the following steps: according to vertex data of the graph data, finding a corresponding data index in a memory, wherein the data index indicates location information of adjacency data connected to the vertex data on a magnetic disk, and the adjacency data is configured to map to the memory (101); and in accordance with the found data index, reading the adjacency data on the magnetic disk using a memory instruction (102). According to the method and apparatus, the graph data is stored in the magnetic disk, which solves the problems that since the memory storage capacity is limited, large scale graphs cannot be completely loaded into the memory, and the memory is not a persistent storage, resulting in the risk of graph data loss. Meanwhile the requirements of the method and apparatus can be met with a general low-costs server, without adopting expensive equipment with large memory, which can greatly reduce costs.
