Abstract:
Provided are: a grease composition that has high biodegradability and, when enclosed within and used in a rolling bearing or the like, can lower torque and prolong service life without adverse affects such as rust generation; and a method for producing the grease composition. Also provided is a rolling device that uses the grease composition for lubrication. In a rolling bearing 1, a grease composition 7 is enclosed in the periphery of a rolling element 4. The grease composition 7 contains a base oil and a thickener. The thickener is a prescribed hydrophobic cellulose fiber and is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 15% by mass relative to the total mass of the base oil and the thickener.
