Abstract:
A gripping device (22) constituting a welding device (20) has a first contactor (28) and a second contactor (30), which face each other and come in contact with a material (10) to be welded. The first contactor (28) vibrates at a predetermined vibration frequency under the effect of a first vibrator (38). The second contactor (30) may be configured so as to be vibrated by a second vibrator (56). In this case, it is preferable that the first contactor (28) and the second contactor (30) are vibrated at different vibrational frequencies. In the abovementioned configuration, the first contactor (28) and the second contactor (30) periodically repeat contact with and separation from the material (10) to be welded. In this state, the gripping device (22) moves in the welding direction (X) and welding is carried out on the material (10) to be welded.
