Abstract:
This gripping mechanism comprises a plurality of gripping claws that grip a part, an opening/closing device that moves the plurality of gripping claws in an opening direction in which the plurality of gripping claws separate from each other and a closing direction in which the plurality of gripping claws come close to each other, and a plurality of backing metals having an abutting portion which can abut on an upper surface of the part. The backing metals are configured to move integrally with the gripping claws, and such that, in an open state in which the plurality of gripping claws are separated from each other, the abutting portion projects in the closing direction with respect to a gripping surface of the gripping claws.
