Abstract:

Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a downlink message transmitting method and device for a General Packet Radio System (GPRS) Tunneling Protocol-User Plane (GTP-U). The method comprises: a mobile edge computing (MEC) platform receiving a GTP-U uplink message transmitted by a base station device; the MEC platform acquiring, on the basis of the GTP-U uplink message, a tunnel endpoint identifier (TEID) of the base station device; the MEC platform transmitting to the base station device a GTP-U downlink message, which contains the TEID of the base station device. Using the technical solution disclosed in the embodiments of the present application, a MEC platform, after receiving a GTP-U uplink message transmitted by a base station device, can acquire, on the basis of the GTP-U unplink message, the TEID of the base station device, so as to correctly carry out GTP-U encapsulation, and transmit to the base station device the GTP-U downlink message.
