Abstract:
A hair dye obtained by providing an emulsion substrate material wherein an oil component is emulsified in a water soluble component having been acidified with citric acid and dissolving silver sulfate being a hardly soluble silver salt in the emulsion substrate material. When this hair dye is applied to the head hair and exposed to light such as ultraviolet or visible light, silver ions dissolved in the hair dye are reduced to metallic silver and microparticles of the reduced metallic silver deposit on and adhere to the hair surface, thereby developing color.
