Title:
NEUTRARIZATION APPARATUS EMPLOYING &agr RAY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/011227
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] Neutralization equipment employing &agr -rays in which atmospheric ions produced through ionization by irradiating &agr -rays can touch an object to be neutralized efficiently while surely avoiding such a situation as the object to be neutralized is irradiated directly with &agr -rays emitted from an &agr -ray source. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The neutralization equipment employing &agr -rays comprises an &agr -ray shield box (10) provided with an ion discharging opening (11), and one or more &agr -ray sources (12) being contained in the &agr -ray shield box, wherein atmospheric ions produced through ionization by irradiating &agr -rays emitted from respective &agr -ray sources (12) are discharged from the ion discharging opening (11) to touch an object to be neutralized. The &agr -ray sources (12) in the &agr -ray shield box (10) are positioned such that the &agr -ray particles being emitted therefrom do not reach the object to be neutralized and atmospheric ions are produced through ionization at a position facing the ion discharging opening (11).
