Abstract:
This hand-drying device comprises: a casing in which there is formed a hand insertion part into which a hand can be inserted; a hand-sensing circuit (25b) that senses insertion of a hand into the hand insertion part; and a motor (14a) that operates when insertion is detected, the motor (14a) jetting air into the hand insertion part. The hand-drying device also comprises: a control circuit (25) that controls driving of the motor (14a); a small-signal DC power source (24) that generates an operation power source for the control circuit (25) from a power source supplied from an external AC power source (20); a heater (8) that heats the air jetted into the hand insertion part; and a power source control unit (25) that, when the power source is supplied from the external AC power source (20) to the small-signal DC power source (24), causes the power source to be supplied from the external AC power source (20) to the small-signal DC power source (24) via the heater (8).
