Abstract:
A handheld information terminal that transmits and receives data is used. Said handheld information terminal is characterized in that said transmission and reception of data includes the reception of video data and is further characterized by the provision of the following: a communication-management execution unit that obtains a communication volume indicating the amount of data that the handheld information terminal transmitted and received over a prescribed period; and a remote-viewing execution unit that compares the obtained communication volume with preset thresholds, and in accordance with the relationships between the obtained communication volume and said thresholds, makes it possible to select an image quality for the abovementioned video data.
