Abstract:
A combiner (30) for a head-up display device (1) has: a front surface (32); a rear surface (34); a plurality of grooves (44) formed in a stripe shape so as to penetrate between the front surface and the rear surface in an upper end section (40); and a plurality of reflective protrusions (46) each formed between each groove in the upper end section (40). Each reflective protrusion: has a triangular cross section; extends between the front surface and the rear surface; forms a pair of planar reflective surfaces (48) inclined relative to the horizontal plane as a result of interposing therebetween a vertical angle (56) pointing upwards in the triangular cross section; and reflects light to the side by using the reflective surfaces. The angle of the vertical angle in each reflective protrusion gradually increases from either the front surface or the rear surface, towards the other.
