Abstract:
A heading checking method and apparatus. The method comprises: obtaining the acceleration, angular velocity, and earth magnetic field intensity of a mobile terminal in a pre-set coordinate system (10); obtaining, by means of an attitude and heading reference system and according to the obtained acceleration, angular velocity, and earth magnetic field intensity of the mobile terminal in the pre-set coordinate system, a rotation matrix that converts the pre-set coordinate system into an East-North-Up coordinate system (20); projecting, according to the rotation matrix obtained after conversion, the acceleration of the mobile terminal in the pre-set coordinate system onto the East-North-Up coordinate system, so as to obtain the data of the acceleration in the horizontal plane of the East-North-Up coordinate system; analyzing the obtained data of the acceleration in the horizontal plane of the East-North-Up coordinate system for the main component, and extracting the straight line in which the acceleration has the largest change within a pre-set time period is located, so as to obtain the heading of the mobile terminal (40). By using the heading checking method and apparatus, a mobile terminal requires no fixed grip, thereby enhancing the stability of heading determination and increasing the number of situations where heading checking can be applied.
