Abstract:
A headspace sample introduction device includes a sample gas extracting passage (F1) connected to a needle on one end, a pressurising gas introduction passage (F2) and an exhaust passage (F3) connected in parallel to the other end of passage (F1) via a branch pipe (T1), a pressure controlling device (61) for supplying pressurising gas to the pressurising gas introduction passage (F2) at a predetermined pressure, solenoid valves (SV1) and (SV2) provided respectively in the pressurising gas introduction passage (F2) and the exhaust passage (F3), and a switching means (20) for switching between a state in which a measuring pipe (30) has been inserted into the sample gas extracting passage (F1) and a state in which the measuring pipe (30) is cut off from the passage (F1). A pressure sensor (70) is provided upstream from the solenoid valve (SV2) in the exhaust passage (F3). A needle (10) is inserted into a sample container (11), solenoid valve (SV2) is closed, solenoid valve (SV1) is opened, the measurements of the pressure sensor (70) are monitored by a leak-detecting unit (82) when pressurising gas is introduced to the sample container (11), and the presence of a gas leak is detected in the sample container (11) based on the results.
