The present invention makes conversation-sound more hearable when using a hearing aid. A hearing aid apparatus (100) is provided with: a first sound control unit (40) that receives a center signal (C), a left-front signal (L), a right-front signal (R), a left-rear signal (SL), and a right-rear signal (SR); and second sound control units (20) that receive output signals from the first sound control unit (40). The first sound control unit (40) comprises a sound-image localization processing unit (42) that localizes, in a prescribed direction, the sound image of the left-front signal (L), the right-front signal (R), the left-rear signal (SL), and the right-rear signal (SR). Each of the second sound control units (20) comprises a first amplifying unit (21) that amplifies the output signal coming from the sound-image localization processing unit (42), and a hearing aid processing unit (22) that amplifies the center signal (C) in accordance with the hearing ability of a user of the hearing aid apparatus (100), and outputs the output signals from the first amplifying unit (21) and the hearing aid processing unit (22), as sound.
