Abstract:
Provided are a heat dissipation apparatus for an optical module, and a communication device, which relate to the technical field of communication devices and are aimed at solving the problem of an optical module having a poor heat dissipation performance. The heat dissipation apparatus for an optical module provided in the present application comprises: a heat dissipation substrate, which comprises a plurality of first heat dissipation portions, a plurality of adapting portions and a second heat dissipation portion, the plurality of first heat dissipation portions corresponding to the plurality of adapting portions on a one-to-one basis, each adapting portion being configured for connecting the corresponding first heat dissipation portion to the second heat dissipation portion, and the plurality of first heat dissipation portions, the plurality of adapting portions and the second heat dissipation portion being integrally formed; and a plurality of bosses corresponding to the plurality of first heat dissipation portions on a one-to-one basis and being configured for transferring heat from an optical module to the heat dissipation substrate, with one end of each boss being in contact with the optical module, and the other end of the boss being in contact with the corresponding first heat dissipation portion. After the optical module is connected to the communication device, the first heat dissipation portions transfer heat from the optical module to the second heat dissipation portion by means of the adapting portions so as to achieve sharing of heat dissipation resources, thereby improving the heat dissipation effect of the optical module.
