Abstract:
The heat-exchange element is intended for use in an indirect evaporative cooling installation in which a plurality of such heat-exchange elements are mounted in parallel in a row so as to form alternating dry and humid channels for the main and subsidiary air respectively. The heat-exchange element comprises a plate (1) made of a moisture impermeable material and provided with a capillar porous covering (2) on one side. To improve the working effectiveness and to facilitate the assembling of the heat-exchange installations, the plate (1) is secured to a frame-shaped distancing element (3), the plate (1) and the distancing element being mutually connected along the contour of the plate (1). The distancing element (3) and/or the plate (1) are provided with openings (4 and 5) for the passage of the main and/or subsidiary air.
