Abstract:
Provided is a heat exchanger used in a refrigeration cycle device, the heat exchanger being capable of providing proper distribution when used for an evaporator and maintaining heat exchange performance even when used as a condenser. This heat exchanger comprises: a plurality of heat exchanger tubes 17 arranged at intervals in the vertical direction; a first header 14 equipped with a liquid-side pipe 16 that serves as a refrigerant inlet when used as an evaporator and serves as a refrigerant outlet when used as a condenser; and a second header 13 equipped with a gas-side pipe 15 that serves as the refrigerant outlet when used as an evaporator and serves as the refrigerant inlet when used as a condenser. The first header 14 is formed so that the flow resistance when the refrigerant flows in the downward direction is greater than the flow resistance when the refrigerant flows in the upward direction.
