Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a compressor (1) that has a compression mechanism (7) for compressing a refrigerant and a motor (8) for driving the compression mechanism (7); an inverter (103) that applies a desired voltage to the motor (8); an inverter control unit (104) that controls the inverter (103); a high-pressure switch (107) that operates when the discharge pressure of the compressor (1) becomes a predetermined pressure or more; and a thermal protector (108) that operates when the temperature of the compressor (1) becomes a predetermined temperature or higher. The high-pressure switch (107) and thermal protector (108) are provided on power supply wiring that supplies power to the inverter (103). When the discharge pressure of the compressor (1) becomes the predetermined pressure or more, the high-pressure switch (107) is opened, or when the temperature of the compressor (1) becomes the predetermined temperature or higher, the thermal protector (108) is opened, and the power supply to the inverter (103) is cut off.
