Abstract:
A stretchable heating element that follows and sticks fast to the joint parts, such as elbows and knees, and the human body’s curved parts, stretch parts and bending parts, such as shoulders and arms, and that because of the absence of tension or discomfort feeling during use thereof, ensures excellent usability, and that during use is free from any detachment and appropriately fits fast to the human body, with the result that desirable hyperthermic effect and therapeutic effect on diseased parts can be obtained. There is provided a stretchable heating element comprising a support resulting from consolidated forming of nonstretchable parts and stretchable parts into a sheet and, secured thereto, a heating part detachable with the use of perforations or cut line at the time of stretching, characterized in that the heating part comprises segmented heating parts containing an exothermic composition and segmenting parts of heat seal portions; and that the segmented heating parts are secured to the nonstretchable parts of support while the perforations or cut line is made in the segmenting parts; and that the exothermic composition comprises an exothermic substance, a carbon component, a reaction accelerator and water as indispensable components, exhibits a mobile water value of 0.01 to 20, and has moldability by excess water as a coupling substance; and that an exothermic reaction occurs upon contact with air; and that in a plane orthogonal to the direction of thickness of the heating element, there is exhibited a one-directional minimum bending resistance of ≤ 60 mm; and that the support is fitted with fixing means.
