Abstract:
A high-contrast photonic crystal AND logic gate that is a two-dimensional photonic crystal having five ports, comprising one nonlinear cavity unit (01) and one Y-shaped AND logic gate unit (02), and consisting of one reference light input terminal (11), two system signal input terminals (12 and 13), one idle terminal (14), and one system signal output terminal (15). The nonlinear cavity unit (01) is coupled and connected with the Y-shaped AND logic gate (02). The high-contrast photonic crystal AND logic gate has a simple and compact structure, can be easily integrated with other photonic crystal components, is capable of implementing features of a high contrast photonic crystal AND logic gate, provides a high contrast between high and low logic outputs, and is broadly applicable in optical communication wave bands.
