Abstract:
A sealing ring (27) is in contact with an outer circumferential surface of a plunger (14). An urging ring (28) comprises a material having lower fuel resistance than the sealing ring (27), is provided on the radially outer side of the sealing ring (27) in a seal chamber (25), and urges the sealing ring (27) toward the plunger (14). An axial direction position of a "part of the sealing ring (27) in which the surface pressure on the plunger (14) is maximum" is defined as a maximum surface pressure position (Zpmax). The sealing ring (27) includes, on both sides of the maximum surface pressure position (Zpmax) in the axial direction, changed-diameter portions (31) formed such that the outer diameter is less than the "part corresponding to the maximum surface pressure position (Zpmax)".
