Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure fuel supply pump with which it is possible to reduce stress arising in a part forming a space provided for a welded portion, while preventing penetration of spatter into the interior of the pump. In a high-pressure fuel supply pump 1, a discharge joint 19 is attached by means of a welded portion 90 to an attachment hole portion 1h provided in a pump body 1a. A space portion 91 is formed from a terminal end portion 90b of the welded portion 90 toward the interior of the attachment hole portion 1h. The discharge joint includes an end surface 71 in the depth direction of the attachment hole portion 1h, and an outer peripheral surface 72 which rises from the end surface 71. The wall surface of the attachment hole portion 1h includes an opposing surface 81 opposing the end surface 71, and an inner peripheral surface 82 which is positioned to the outside the outer peripheral surface 72, and which extends from the opposing surface 81 to the terminal end portion 90b of the welded portion. A gap C in a predetermined range is formed between the end surface 71 and the opposing surface 81. The space portion 91 is formed from the terminal end portion 90b of the welded portion to the opposing surface 81. The entire inner peripheral surface 82 from the terminal end portion 90b of the welded portion to the opposing surface 81 is formed as a concave curved surface, and constitutes the wall surface of the space portion 91.
