Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an epoxy resin composition having exceptional solubility in solids or liquids and high storage stability. [Solution] A modified epoxy resin composition characterized in containing a compound (A) comprising tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate in which one to three glycidyl groups in the molecule have been substituted by functional groups indicated by formula (1): (in the formula, R1 and R2 are each an alkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, aryl group, aralkyl group, heterocyclic group, or a halogenated, aminated, or nitrated derivative thereof), and a compound (B) comprising tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate, the tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate of compound (A) prior to substitution and the tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate of compound (B) comprising, on the basis of the total mass of the tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate of compounds (A) and (B), 2-15 mass% β-type tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate, the balance being α-type tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate.
