Title:
HIGH-STRENGTH MAGNESIUM ALLOY WIRE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, HIGH-STRENGTH MAGNESIUM ALLOY PRODUCT, AND HIGH-STRENGTH MAGNESIUM ALLOY SPRING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/050188
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a high-strength magnesium alloy wire which has high strength and excellent workability due to satisfying both elongation and 0.2% yield strength conditions, furthermore also has higher strength near the surface thereof, and is suitable for use in products to which bending stress and/or torsional stress are mainly applied. The magnesium alloy wire is used in a member to which bending stress and/or torsional stress are mainly applied, wherein the surface layer section of the wire comprises a portion having a maximum hardness of 170 HV or more, and the inside of the wire has 0.2% yield strength and 5% or more elongation at 550 MPa or more.
